The WWF and associates have just published the Living Planet study. The overall situation of humanity looks bleak indeed. We are consuming a lot more than sustainability allows and rapidly destroying the ecosystem. The monetary value - if there ever can be even a cursory one - of annually and forever destroyed assets is a whopping 4.5 trillion dollars. Finland currently holds the 15th place in the size of the global footprint. There should be no popping of champagne for that one.
