Amazon has introduced their latest gadget, now to revolutionaze e-reading. Can Kindle become a serious competitor to a paper book outside nerd circles? I doubt it. For the first thing, who is prepared to carry yet another electronic device? Second, success depends on content. For the time being Kindle is only available in the US with (solely, I guess) English language titles. Third, the price is still too high.

With these simple caveats, hopefully Kindle will be a success, if it does make people read more and use their imagination.
